How to Keep Track of Everything!

I’ll admit, this blog does take a lot of planning and a lot of time to create. Keeping track of things one day to the next has become overwhelming at times. Up until recently, I’ve been storing my plans in my mind and taking things one week at a time. But I want to be better—and I’ve been making some changes.

First off, I’m happy to say I have projects planned up to 6 months in advance now. And those plans are NOT stored in my head—because well . . .that would be a wild mess!

The Big Change

Finally, I have a physical wall calendar that maps out my upcoming blogs making it easier to for me to be more efficient and punctual in my posts. I’m super excited to show you! It can’t be hidden in the depths of my phone or computer. It is just there every time I walk into my craft room!

For all my newer fellow bloggers out there, this is definitely the way to go! Working on multiple blogs at once or batching has made things go much more smoothly for me.

So anyone in need of a calendar to log their personal projects and plans—consider taking some ideas from my latest creation!

The Title and Schedule

The Paper Cut Place of course! My calendar is ONLY for The Paper Cut Place. Anyone else roaming through my house would not make sense of this madness. But to me it is perfectly clear: Make stuff and post stuff on a very precise schedule.

Basic Materials

  1. 3 old chopped up fence board pieces

  2. 4 eyelet screws and 3 small nails

  3. Jute string

  4. Wood Glue

  5. Paint and Brush

  6. Vinyl Wording to indicate what the calendar is for on the top wood piece

  7. Printed Calendar pages

Putting it Together

  1. Glue 2 of the smaller pieces of wood together to create the calendar page panel.

  2. Paint all of the wood to your liking. I left the top panel’s edges a little distressed to give it more interest.

3. Add the title to the top piece of wood and decorate to your liking (I used my Silhouette Cameo).

4. Attach the eyelet screws evenly to each piece of wood and connect the three pieces with the jute string.

5. Print out your calendar pages and trim as necessary.  Punch two holes on the top and two on the bottom of each sheet. I printed mine out for free at www.print-a-calendar.com.

6. Lay the paper over the bottom two glued boards and use a pen to dot the holes in the wood. This is where your small nails will be attached. Now your calendar pages can hang comfortably here!

7. Once those are in, staple a piece of string to the back of the top board so you can hang your calendar on the wall.

8. All done! Get ready to be organized
