SCRAP PAPER CANDY BOWL

I have so much scrap paper left from the latest paper projects! It’s unbelievable!

It’s really not good to be wasteful and throw away paper that still can be used, right? So it is official! Nothing shall go to waste! And my craft room table shall soon be visible again! What can I say? I work better swimming in a heap of craft supplies! (I know I’m not the only one! Right? Come on!)

Pick, pick, pick…all the little paper scraps start getting placed into a nice pile on one end of my craft table. Oh my craft table! There you are! It’s been a while! Anyway where was I? Oranges, blacks, yellows, greens—like a mountain of Fall leaves, but not.

Okay. Now what?

Fall colors equal another seasonal craft project! This one’s different! I promise. You can keep this one out until your Christmas decorations consume your home!

We are going to need a candy bowl before the big day hits! It can be for both Halloween candy for the Trick or Treaters and for yourself as a reward for all of your hard work! You deserve it!

Oh, by the way…we are using Mod Podge again!

So here we go!

Get a medium sized bowl (or whatever size you want your candy dish to be). Now flip it upside down and cover it with plastic wrap. The bowl will never know what happened!

Next! Cut out an immense amount of Fall leaves or other various Fall shapes out of your scrap paper.

I visited my Fall leaf die collection for this one, but any preferred shapes will look amazing!

Now use a foam brush and start Mod Podging (this time I used Matte Mod Podge) your paper cuts onto the bottom of the bowl. I put a few extra pieces on here to create a firm base. Work your way up to the sides until you are pleased with the coverage of the bowl. Let dry.

In the meantime, sample the various kinds of Halloween candy that will go into your bowl! Yum!

I eventually put my bowl outside to dry and went for a walk. Upon my return, I was able to easily lift my paper bowl off of the plastic wrap.

Fill it up with goodies and place in plain sight for everyone to enjoy! Candy bowl complete! And Craft room table visible again! Good deal!
