The Flap fold card. It can be made in so many different ways and sizes. So simple yet classy.
Â
It’s always great to have some of these on hand in case you find that someone you know really needs it. There is nothing wrong with keeping a small stack of these off to the side for those moments when you notice someone is having a hard time.
Paper Cheer
Paper Cheer—that’s how I think of it. The unexpected card in your mailbox. The intense curiosity of what is inside that envelope. It’s not a holiday. It’s not a birthday. What the heck is this going to be about?
Â
Â
Just thinking of you.
Â
Â
Someone’s heart has instantly warmed up.
Something for Everyone
I think everyone needs that from time to time. Just a small reminder letting someone know that they are cared about.
Â
Life makes it too easy to get caught up in the daily grind resulting in so much work that we all start getting a little distanced from each other.
Â
Â
So now we have an exceptionally easy card tutorial that doesn’t take much time. And we have a busy recipient that can take a moment to read a few lines of thoughtfulness in a matter of moments.
Flap Fold Card
Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 11 ½” long by 4” inches wide. (I decided to scallop the tops and bottoms of mine).
Score the card in two places at 4” and 8 1/2.”
Fold the card up so that you can see it looks like it has a flap across the top front.
4. Now open it up and use your preferred die cutting machine to cut out a shape of your choice from the top part of the flap as shown.
5. Cut out more shapes of your choice along with along with a printed message to adhere to the card including the bottom flap.
6. Glue everything in place and add any remaining sentiments that you’d like.
7. All done and almost ready to be put into the mailbox!

Just thinking of you goes a long way and it really didn’t take too long! Did it?
