Criss-Cross Card Tutorial

I wanted to do this tutorial because although gift giving season isn’t here quite yet, it is definitely on the horizon. And that means we are all going to be busy, busy, busy and more busy!

So, I’ve decided to take care of business well in advance—I will thank myself later once all of the festivities are done and I am completely exhausted. Thank You cards—Criss-Cross style!

These are fairly simple to make with a few careful measurements! Let me show you!

Start with a 5”x8” piece of cardstock.

Score at 3.5” and 8.5”

Mark 1.25” up from the bottom and make a diagonal cut to the fold. Now you have your foundation!

Next, get 2 pieces of decorative paper: one piece will be a 4.75” square. The next piece will be a 3” square cut diagonally to make 2 triangles.

After this get an additional piece of decorative paper for the belt (I chose a different pattern for this one). Cut two pieces measuring 3”x1.”

Now it’s time to assemble and add your favorite sentiments!

I used some layering die cuts and topped them with Thank You stickers that I am currently selling in my Etsy store. Having these around definitely will come in handy as you get to the final step of your card.

Also these cards will fit in a square 6”x6” envelope which can be found on Amazon.

Happy card making!

Enjoy!
