It’s important to me to pick a Christmas card design that is not too difficult. After all, this is the card that I make the most of and too many intricacies can make this task fairly daunting. Having fun during this project is mandatory! After all, it’s Christmas time! Yessss!!
With that said, I chose the WV card fold for my friends and family this year! I like this because it looks classy yet it’s very easy to make with just a few folds! It’s great if you’re going to make a massive batch.
Let’s get started
Materials for the foundation of the card:
12” x 6” piece of cardstock
6”x3” piece of cardstock
Score the 12”x6” piece of cardstock at 2”, 4” and 6”
Then fold the card into a WV shape as shown
Next fold the 6”x3 piece of cardstock in half.
Now your 2 pieces are ready to be glued together
Before Gluing Anything
Create some panels for each section of your card. Mine measured 1 ¾” x 6” (4 panels), 3 ¾” x 5 ¾”, and a 2 ¾” square (for the smaller piece of cardstock).
Glue your panels onto the 2 pieces of cardstock
Attach the smaller piece of cardstock to the larger piece of cardstock as shown.
Let’s Decorate
For this project, I used some sticker designs that I purchased from the Silhouette Store. Small die cuts would also be a great option! Or if you have extra time, drawing a cute Christmas design would make it extra personal and special!
I hope you found some inspiration from this tutorial. After the foundation of this card it set, there are endless possibilities in ways to add unique designs!
