Saint Patrick’s Day! At last! It is visiting us once again! Hooray!!
When I was in elementary school I wouldn’t be caught dead not wearing green for fear of being pinched every March 17th!! Wearing green was absolutely vital for us young people! Sometimes we would get green foil wrapped candy or some kind of decoration covered in shamrocks! It was special back then!
The Good and Simple Days
Now I’m older. There is always much going on—at least for me. There is not really much mention of this special day in my life. A lot of us don’t place as much importance on wearing green as we once did as children.
I like cherishing little things from my childhood like this. Unfortunately I too sometimes forget!
This year, I’d like to make sure I share at least a few different projects for inspiration—just to see where it goes.
And since this is The Paper Cut Place, a Saint Patrick’s Day card is definitely an order!
A Very Specific Card Design
I decided to make a Corner Flip card for our special day! I chose this style because it is great for showing off a nice collection of shamrocks!
How it’s Done
Start with a 6”x9” piece of cardstock
Fold it in half.
Lightly put a mark at the 3.5” mark across the top and another mark at the the 3” in mark on the left hand side (or you can make an additional paper guide like I did as shown).
Now make a diagonal score from the 3.5” mark to the 3” mark.
Open up your card and carefully adjust the folds into the peaks and valleys indicated in the picture below.
Now you have your basic Corner Flip Card! Yay!
Let’s Decorate

I used a vinyl cutout made by the Silhouette Cameo for the wording.

Found some decorative paper that would compliment the green cardstock

Cut out some special Saint Patrick’s Day gnomes

And made a bunch of shamrock cutouts from green glitter cardstock! The more the merrier!

Then I got to gluing it all together inside and out! Voila!
